I have the musical and the book. This was my fourth reading(including one for high school and one for college). Victor Hugo's characters are timeless. The struggles ol class are still around today, unfortunately and that's sad. The book proves that adversity can be overcome through diligence.

I love the musical andlove this book - I do always have to skip through the incredibly long winded chapter that describes how great the bishop is...but apart from that its a stonking good read and a classic to boot - it'll look good on the shelf!
