|I liked it better the first time I read it, which I've never said about a book before. It was 5 stars until I read it again. I'm a bit disillusioned by the language now, it can be very flowery and hyperbolic. There are also so many ways that Dr. Frankenstein could have dealt with the monster, he literally did it all to himself. What Shelley accomplishes with her complex perspective is wonderful.|
I think the best part, by far, is the monster's tale of how his life had gone after his creation. I felt more sorry for him that the doctor.
