Thank You, Critique Circle! -- by Mimiwriter

I joined CC in 2005 as I began my journey with my first contemporary romance, Time Changes Everything. Back then,I just wrote as a hobby and for the fun of it. I never thought I’d actually take it to the next level. But, CC did that for me. I got better, I grew, I wrote, I critiqued, I learned … and the rest is history!

Time Changes Everything went through the queues in three different time periods. Each time I learned more and my piece grew into something publish worthy, all because I have a great group of critique partners who stood by me and followed my journey.

What I love most about CC is the wide variety of writers we have on the site. It includes people who, like me, started out as a hobby and enjoyed reading other people’s work. On CC we can also find multi-published authors in any gamut of the writing field – romance, playwriting, poems, young adult. With the amount of writers, we will find a match and a nitch to fall into. Luckily, my group fell into the Women’s Fiction/Romance category. We began reading each other’s work, followed through the weeks, and looked forward to reading the next chapters. All of us had the same goal – to share our work and improve our writing. I feel fortunate to have made a close-knit writing group right here on CC and I still learn from them.

Thank you CC for providing this opportunity to share my writing, find critique partners and to celebrate my success.

Time Changes Everything has been released by Entranced Publishing on May 13, 2013.

Here is the official blurb:

Amanda Larson is dedicated to her job and doesn't want to make time for anything else. Until she runs into Jake Edwards. He used to be the cute boy next door; now he's a sexy, big shot lawyer.

Jake Edwards isn't interested in commitment. He's successful, sexy, and single--and that's how he likes it. When he reconnects with Amanda, Jake realizes he might have to rethink his philosophy on the carefree, bachelor lifestyle.

But, is it too late for them? Or can he convince her that he's ready to give her his heart?

I’d also like to share that I have recently signed a new contract for another book that has endured the ranks of Critique Circle called Breaking the Rules (aka Frequent Flyer) with Crimson Romance. Expect this contemporary romance out on July 8.

So true for me as well. That's why I love the site, so many writers who gave their time and effort to help with the critique.
Congratulation on the new book. Excellent!

Everyone who's gone through the queues with their book(s) has a unique spin on what happened here! I enjoyed reading this—thanks for sharing.

Yes! That's exactly how I feel about cc too! My debut novel was recently published and I acknowledged a number of people who helped tremendously on CC. Great post!
