Few have failed to be charmed by the witty and independent spirit of Elizabeth Bennet. Her early determination to dislike Mr. Darcy is a prejudice only matched by the folly of his arrogant pride. Their first impressions give way to true feelings in a comedy profoundly concerned with happiness and how it might be achieved.

Surprisingly moving despite like being forced to listen to people gossiping for 12 solid hours. The central characters of Elizabeth, Darcy and Jane are endearing and interesting (in their own very different fashions). The outcome for Jane almost made my eyes sweat in a very manly fashion. Of course at base it's: pretty girl gets rich man, like 50 Shades of Grey without the whips, but Austin has a scathing observational wit that probably hurt more than a spanking.

This book was hard to enjoy since I was doing it for a school project, but it was still fun to read. Just so you know, this is a love story, so if you're not into that kind of stuff, I recommend searching elsewhere. ub to those with an open mind, I would recommend this book.
