Vanquish lets you into the hearts and minds of two completely psychotic, yet loveable, characters who end up being perfect for each other because they are both broken and can only be fixed together.

After reading "Deliver," I thought I might not be able to like Van, but hearing his POV made me sympathize with him and understand his behavior a different level. He's so messed up from all the bad things that have happened to him, and I found myself liking him once I saw how hurt and lonely he was. When he changes into a protector instead of a predator, it's amazing. And the character of Amber is so lost, hurt and lonely when we meet her, but also transforms into a happy and healthy person after suffering from mental illness (at least three kinds!), which is a crazy ride to witness, but worth it in the end.

Pam Godwin will make you laugh, cry, hide, squirm, smile and swoon with this novel. I'd recommend reading "Deliver" first to get the full experience, but just read it one way or another!
