I remember one particular footnote took me over a day to find, and I am not proud of it. I pushed through it, though, and I am glad that I did. Despite the occasional difficulties, reading this book was a truly unique experience. The structure of the book and how the words are laid across the pages add to the stories being told. There were chapters where I felt lost, confused, turned around, alone, and overwhelmed. That may not seem encouraging to the reader debating whether to pick this up, but what is great about this book is how every detail is meticulously designed to evoke these feelings. Highly recommend.

After finishing this book, every book afterwards seems a little off-putting, as if the lack of scattered typography and braille is a sin against man.
