The Capitol wants revenge. Who do they think should pay for the unrest? Katniss. And what’s worse, President Snow has made it clear that no one else is safe either. Not Katniss’s family, not her friends, not the people of District 12. Powerful and haunting, this thrilling final installment of Suzanne Collins’s groundbreaking The Hunger Games trilogy promises to be one of the most talked about books of the year.

Good book, I love how Collins writes what Katniss reasoning is, and it is very sound for her situations. Most movies seem to glom over real world problems, and some authors do that in books, as well, but Collins really captures Katnis' thought process with each and every problem or feeling. I thought, however, that some of the action was too brief and nondescriptive. I had a hard time picturing settings in action sequences, but she moves the story along so well.

Loved the ending. Loved the book. Best series I have ever read.

While I admired Collins' ability to keep the pace moving ever forward in the first two books, in my mind, this one lacked in that aspect. There were still plenty of twists and turns along the way to keep this reader enthralled, but it just wasn't up to the first two books standards. The ending was crushing...oh goodness was is CRUSHING! Heck, the book as a whole had a ridiculous amount of depressingness(<
